The City of Rollingwood is hosting a virtual "town hall" meeting this Monday, November 30th at 6pm to hear from the public regarding what you want (and don't want) in the City's comprehensive plan. This is a critical opportunity for each of us to weigh in on the future of our community.
Do you want Rollingwood to maintain its "small town" feel or would you like the Bee Caves corridor to be more urban and dense (think: South Lamar)? Are you concerned with increased traffic if multi-story development is encouraged on Bee Caves Road or do you see the benefits of more commercial development outweighing the costs? How do you feel about encouraging condos or apartment buildings along Bee Caves Road? Are you concerned about the impact of an influx of new residents on schools or the park? What would you like to preserve about Rollingwood and what would you like to change?
These are the issues being tackled right now by the City Council and the "Strike Force" set up by the City Council to put together a comprehensive plan for the City's future. We sincerely hope that you will join us and weigh in.
Details to join the virtual "town hall" are in the City's email below. If you can't attend, you may also weigh in by emailing the City Council and members of the Strike Force by sending an email to Assistant City Administrator Ashley Wayman at awayman@rollingwoodtx.gov (be sure to ask her to forward your email to the Strike Force and City Council).
