The Austin American-Statesman published a feature story on the proposed land-use development plans for Rollingwood and the opposition of many community residents. The story included an interview with a true Rollingwood gem, 86-year old Mewes Goetzmann, who moved to her tree-top home with her husband in 1964. The story includes a response from Mayor Dyson, who appears to fully back the highest-intensity rezoning along Bee Caves Road that would take away residents' views and build high next to current homes. The story also states that the planning process will be delayed, although it provides no new timeline for a final decision. Check out the story here.
