The Rollingwood consultant's plan to upzone virtually all tracts along Bee Caves Road is in the Austin American-Statesman today. The article covers all three of the developer's proposed "scenarios," including "Scenario B" and "C," which would both more than double Rollingwood's population and, respectively, produce three and four-story apartment complexes and condo units.

Notably, the article also says that the City could eventually raise more than $5 million/year in tax revenue without increasing height limits on Bee Caves: "Scenario A would bring in about $5.5 million in total tax revenue, which is 77% more tax revenue than the city's current revenue, add no new households but add 4,202 new jobs at full buildout. The plan would include office and retail with a maximum of two-storied buildings." Scenarios B and C would transform Rollingwood into a completely different community and are completely out of line with community preferences and values. They should both be off the table.
